- Bitcoin doesn’t pay anyone to endorse the orange coin. The decentralized protocol has no CEO, no marketing budget, no SuperBowl commercials. True, you may see the likes of Tom Brady promoting a Crypto exchange or some of the fraudster coin, but the fact of the matter is Bitcoin the protocol doesn’t do celebrity endorsements.
- These celebrities are likely already more wealthy than a small army of plebs. If the fiat system has been working well for you, it likely goes against your instincts to endorse the decentralized currency of the people.
- These celebrities may have done their homework. I am sure the demands of being a Hollywood socialite are distracting. For these individuals to venture down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, even a little bit, I am here for it.
The Future of Bitcoin
The fact that so many celebrities are getting involved is generally a positive sign. However, it could also be seen as a negative sign. Celebrities are often irrational and a bit eccentric!
I think overall it shows we are at an early stage of adoption. The fact that a few celebrities have endorsed Bitcoin shows that it is starting to make almost a political statement. You never hear about celebrities endorsing “gold”. Perhaps they might talk about investing in various companies or stocks but their endorsement of Bitcoin shows how powerful the technology really is!
